Most of the new car has a 3.5mm connector for iPod is built ready for you to connect. You can go check your dashboard or center console for a small stereo headphone jack of similar links at the top of your iPod. If you have this connection, your now ready. This cable has a 3.5 mm head phone plug both ends of the cable, one end goes into your iPod and connect the other end of the link you found in your car.
Here is a list of all the cars that currently have this capability, depending on when you read this article, I am sure their is more cars brought to market in this regard. To check, follow the step above and look in the car for that connection.

The great thing about water is that it will work with almost any media player, not just the iPod. Once connected, your car takes over and makes the necessary steps to play music through your car stereo sound. So if you have an iPod or MP3 player, it will work in your car, as long as the media player has a 3.5mm socket, since some will have a 2.5mm jack or less.
